Mentorship

Internship (graduate veterinarians)

Kendall Road Equine Hospital offers two positions each year to recently graduated veterinarians. The internship lasts one year starting in July of each year and offers an opportunity for recent graduates to further their skills and acquire the experience they need to succeed in practice or continue into advanced training. The internship is a rewarding hands on experience that is tailored to each individual’s interests and skills. While the internship year is hard work and challenging, we work to make the year a valuable experience for all parties involved. Details concerning the internship and the application process can be obtained from the AAEP Avenues website. We encourage interested parties to inquire about the program and upon request we will supply contact information so that you may speak with current or recent interns.

Externship (veterinary students)

Veterinary students are welcome to schedule visits to our practice. We have facilities for one student at a time to stay at the clinic. Students are encouraged to visit the AAEP Avenues website for more information or contact us at [email protected].

Volunteers

Undergraduate students, veterinary technician students and high school students who are interested in volunteering are welcome on a limited basis depending on demand and the students experience around horses. We encourage you to send us an email with your information and what you are interested in to [email protected] for more information.

Public service

Tours of the hospital by school groups or other clubs and requests for public speaking engagements can be arranged by calling the front office.
