When you are looking for equine care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at Kendall Road Equine Hospital in Elgin IL have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your horse. We have a state of the art equine facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Call 847-464-5598 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.
We will ask you about the history of your horse and the history and events leading up to the reason for your visit. If possible bring in any medical history you have of your horse when you come. Any previous x rays or lab work you have had done in the past may be useful to look back at. If you have another veterinarian you are working with you can ask him/her to forward your horses records to us prior to the exam.
Bring any tack that may be useful during the exam. For example if your horse is having trouble with the bit or bridle it may become necessary to examine the bit in the mouth to assess the problem. Sometimes a lameness requires us to observe your horse under saddle so if you have your tack handy for the exam we may ask that you ride your horse.
Sometimes it is useful to write a list of questions you may have for the veterinarians prior to the exam. This will help you to remember to ask everything you want and make the most of the time you have. Keeping a log of events surrounding the problem your horse is experiencing can be very helpful as well.
If you have any questions before your appointment please feel free to call us.
